Greetings from Bluewater Kayak Works’s Orca Watch Blog! Sighting a whale, whether it’s an Orca, or another species such as a Gray Whale, etc. is an experience one doesn’t soon forget. Bluewater Kayak Works would like to make these experiences available to more people by providing a forum for reporting your whale sightings.

Here is what you can do to participate in our effort to let our kayaker fiiends know where the whales are:

(1) Send us your photos of whales that you’ve taken while paddling around our planet along with a few paragraphs indicating: (1) the date of the sighting; (2) location of the sighting (GPS coordinates are helpful); and (3) any other details that you think would be interesting.

(2) If you shot video, post your video to YouTube and send us the URL to the video; or

(3) Send us your video with a file transfer service like Logmein, since the video will be too large to attach to email.

We will post your video, photos, and story on our Orca Watch blog for everybody to enjoy.

Send in your sighting info (location, photos, story, etc.) just as soon as you can following your sighting so that the Orca Watch blog becomes a nearly real-time source of information for kayakers hoping to see the same whales you did!
